Instrumental project of Fabio Viscogliosi and Silvain Koelsch, the BYY has invited a few children soloists to perform 10 incongruous covers of movie soundtracks (Godard, Bunuel, Bliers…).

Fabio Viscogliosi :
Author, composer and performer, Fabio Viscogliosi is known since 1998 for his different collaborations with The Married Monk ("R/O/C/K/Y") and with Yann Tiersen ("Tout est calme"). Fabio is a genuine versatile artist, also applauded for his illustrated books (edited by Le Seuil or L’Association). He has received several awards for "L’oeil du chat" (Alph’Art in 1996 at The Angoulême Comic festival), "Le Pacha" (Blutch drawings, Great Award of The Bologne International Fair for children books) and his series of comics, "Hyper-espace", in the french newspaper Le Monde.

Silvain Koelsch :
Composer for plays and cartoons, Silvain is also a pedagogue and a conductor. He is also featured on "Spazio", the first album by Fabio Viscogliosi.

Incongruous orchestra :
These recordings took place in 1995. BYY was composed by 11 musicians : 7 children and 4 adults.

Soundtracks :
No partitions, just recollections. The titles reveal injured arrangements, always minimalist repeated with a childish stubbornness. When the Langley School Music Project meets the Young Marble Giants...
